I started using the insert around 31 weeks. It was nice that I could zip up my jacket and stay warm! I'm 5ft, about 140lbs now at 37 weeks pregnant and a small is perfect. I use it for work, and when I walk the dog. Even though I live in the Carolinas, it still gets pretty cold here! I'm excited to use the baby insert. I haven't quite figured out how that will work.

I was hesitant to buy a maternity jacket, but the functionality of this coat makes the purchase 100% worth it. For reference, I'm 5'1 and 30 weeks pregnant. I haven't had to use the extender yet for the jacket, but imagine I will get a lot of use out of it with the baby carrier this winter. PROS: * Two huge flap front pockets - Big enough to hold a large cell phone and sunglasses in one pocket, and a full-sized travel thermos in the other. I can't tell you how happy these pockets make me. * Warm - I've worn this coat in 38-50 degree weather so far, and have been perfectly warm. With wind though, you'll probably need to wear layers. * Adjustable - I'm not just talking about the extra bump/baby carrier insert, but also the sleeves. I found you can very easily fold up the sleeves near the cuff to accommodate shorter arms as I was originally swimming in the jacket. After folding both the ribbed section, and part of the puffer jacket, the sleeves fit perfectly, and you can't even tell it is folded. CONS: * Small side pockets - These pockets (where you'd naturally put your hands) are quite small, and nearly impossible to fit your hands into with the large puffer jacket sleeves.
