Bought this for my sister, she loves it!

My sister needed something like this for hammock camping, so I bought it for her. I guess it should have been obvious by the fact that there are drawstrings at each end, but she was super excited that because of the drawstring openings, she could walk around in it!! There's really nothing that mentions that, and just today (after reading and studying on this purchase for months) I just saw a picture of a girl that looks like she's jumping in it and I see her feet, but other than that, there's no mention that you can walk around in it. ( I attached a pick from grand trunk.) That would have been nice to know. I with they had listed it among the other benefits of owning one. But all on all it is a pretty nice and versatile piece of gear. I agree with another person who said it just needs zippers on the side for armholes! I think I will add them to make it the perfect piece of gear! I also recommend the grand trunk mozzy 360 big net, it's great because it has a “floor” so you can store stuff inside to keep bugs and critters out of it. I love grand trunk. They offer great, well made products with multi uses.

Great product, tight squeeze for 2X-3X

I'm not sure why I thought the weight rating (" capacity: 500 lbs. ") was for how big a person would fit comfortably, completely the zipped-up ThermaQuilt, but it was a tight fit for me (2x-3x), leaving little to no room to move in the torso region and no 360-degree coverage. I left the quilt zipped over my legs and needed a second blanket to keep warm as it could not be zipped up to my shoulders, so it felt more like a ThermaQuilt 270. My solution? I still like the product, so I bought a second ThermaQuilt on sale and will be sewing it into a wedge shape so I can enjoy my plus-size hammock camping adventures without being squeezed.

Awesome!

I purchased the thermaquilt to give hammocking a try, as an alternative to using a tent. I didn't want to break the bank and purchase an expensive underquilt, so I purchased this from Grand Trunk. I was a bit concerned being that the rating on this is only 40 and it was going to be in the mid 30's on my trip. To compensate for the difference, I zipped up the thremaquilt so it was two layers hanging below my hammock. I then cinched the drawstrings on the ends and it pulled it up close. I was quite impressed with how well this worked and I never had a cold spot, other than when the thermaquilt moved to the side a little. The fix was easy by just pulling it back under me. Next time I will just attached it with a couple safety pins or velcro to keep it in place. This was such a minor issue and I am not sure that I would even purchase another underquilt other than to cut weight in my pack at some point, or if I was backpacking in super cold temps. I had a great comfortable night in the hammock and I will continue to do so using the thermaquilt.
