A good budget option for car or canoe camping.

So far I'm impressed with this under quilt. I haven't used it yet for sleeping (camping and canoe trip to Quetico is next week) but I've been testing it just for lounging. It's for sure is for a single person, but I'm using it under my double-size hammock with just myself and it fits me well. The install is super simple and the shape is just right and covers from head to toe. It's surprising thick and feels sturdy - not light and fluffy or lofty - like if you squeeze the stuffing it isn't thin and airy - it feels more like a thick blanket sort of. My first thoughts are that I'm actually really impressed with the quality. I have it packed up now in the stuff sack and the dimensions I got it squished down to are about: 11” x 10” x 10” so I wound not call this hyper-light or it's probably not the best option for hiking when you're counter every ounce and inch, but I think it will be good for canoe camping or car camping for sure.

No more cold butt!

I wasn't sure how much difference the under quilt would make but it definitely does. I brought along an extra lightweight blanket in case my lightweight bag wasn't enough for a hiking trip up north. I've gone too light before and spent the night with my teeth chattering, but that was definitely not the case. I actually had to dump a few layers so I wasn't excessively warm, this thing works great and the temps went down to the 40s.
