Great Traveler Mark 3

Wood grain is important...I did a "blind" order, and got a great model of the Mark 3, nice grain on body and neck, great fret job. I used steel wool on the frets to smooth some very minor scratches. The Shadow pickup is awesome, plenty of volume and bass. Sounds very close to a dreadnaught acoustic. I already had a Mark 3 and did the same mod, where I file the edge of the body at the right forearm, then wipe on some polyurethane. It comes with Daddario EJ15 extra light, it feels about right. My original Mark 3 has EJ16, tuned down a step, its about right, and works better for the drop D. There's a few rattles in the electronics cover, so had to add some very thin foam strips with double stick tape to keep the cover quiet. Also, a bit of larger foam at the phase/tuner springs to kill the rattle. Super nice shoulder case. Traveler makes a great guitar. I also have the Ultra Traveler where I added an active preamp and other mods.
