To be soft enough for our taste I add water and cook these for 2 to 3 hours before adding raw potatoes and kielbasa, or browned ground beef, actually, whatever meats you like. Another half hour for the flavors to blend and you're done. Some seasoning of course, whatever you like. A small amount of tomato sauce for flavor. Play with the recipe, make it your own. 4 cans beans, 4 big potatoes bite sized, two kielbasas is the bare bones. DO NOT ADD SALT until the end and it's almost done. Now taste it for you preferred salt level. The sausage has salt that will distribute. Anyway, good beans, great combo.

Is Carranzo chickpeas are perfect I put them in the air fryer. They come out crispy. Sometimes I eat them just like that. Add them to salads.
