Foot Fitter shoe stretcher can stretch the shoe width or length wise, at the same time. The stretcher comes with spot stretching plugs - 3 plugs. The stretcher comes with a colorful manual that shows the user the best way to use the stretcher. The picture diagrams are helpful. For example, the manual suggest shoe stretch spray to assist the process of stretching. However, it is not necessary. Used mine without spray and it did the job. I ordered a Women/medium. This is a professional quality, well made shoe stretcher. It is made of wood and metal. It also includes 3 spot stretching plugs. Insert to plugs into the holes of the stretcher to target your trouble areas. Like bunions. Now I can widen and lenghtne my shoes in one step. The user guide even includes color photos. Insert into your shoes as instructed. The widening handle turns easily and smoothly. I used it overnight on my fabric shoes and it works as promised. No more pinched baby toes. I wear a size 8, medium to wide width. This shoe stretcher works for me. I think a shoe stretcher is essential to any closet. This one is well made and may be the last one you will need to buy.
