The valve is a pop top type valve that is easy to open and close and will stay in the position you choose. The loop handle makes it easy to grab. The bottle has a slight indenture at the neck which makes it easy to hold and not slip in your hand. The slight insulation of the bottle helps reduce condensation that would make a non-insulted bottle slippery. Fits easily into the side elastic pocket of most backpacks or in the bottle carrier of a bike.

I have used the larger version of this Bottle for 5 or 6 years on my motorcycle rides. Fill it 1/2 full of water and stick it in the Freezer. When you leave, take it and finish filling up and wrap it in a hand towel. By the end of the ride, you still have cool water to drink. The bottles do an excellent job of keeping the water cold, except when the temperature is over 90 degrees. They are easy drink from and fit nicely in a standard handlebar cup holder
