Purchased this as we have a shared kitchen and often have to wait for turns to prepare even the most basic meals... This pot really performs in my room when I need something fast and easy...from ramen to a low simmer stew...it is pretty amazing...I can fry eggs or boil them ...so many dishes are possible with this...I highly suggest getting the steamer version for the extra dollar, you will definitely use it and it can greatly expand the number of dishes that you can make. The only issue I had is the description says they will also send me a free gift(including a spatula to be used with the pot) ... but no free gift was received. I was very sad not to receive it as I was looking forward to having an implement that I could use with this great pot.
