I sprained my ring finger when I fell on it, luckily I fell onto the couch which is soft and has some give. I could have broken my finger. I didn't do anything for it for a couple of days and I kept hurting it, so I bought this to protect it and remind myself to be careful of it. It's comfortable and I slept with it on my finger, no problem. I should be able to wear it until my finger is healed.
