Key item features

Flatt & Scruggs are one of the most respected and most popular bluegrass bands of all time. Along with Bill Monroe, they shaped and propelled this great style into a widely successful and artistically praised musical format. They left a legacy of wonderful recordings and were star attractions on the Grand Ole Opry for many years.

Best Of The Flatt & Scruggs TV Show is a series of DVDs drawn from shows that aired during the late 1950s and early 1960s. Never available before, these shows feature Flatt & Scruggs in their prime with their group the Foggy Mountain Boys, playing many of their most famous songs as well as many other bluegrass classics. The shows have a great down-home feel with their easy-going demeanor and warm humor, both of which complement the music to produce a thoroughly entertaining show.

Attention All Ricky Skaggs Fans

This wonderful volume of the Flatt & Scruggs Martha White Show features a show from January of 1962, where Ricky made his television debut, at the very young age of 7. Man, that little boy sure is gifted! Aside from that, this is some more great bluegrass music from Lester & Earl that is finally getting the recognition it deserves. I just wish that Shanachie would put these shows out either in seasons or have bigger volumes ( with about two or three extra shows), but this is good enough. Anyone that loves Flatt & Scruggs, or bluegrass music in general, needs to try to grab these before they're gone!
