I need to clarify a few things before I begin my review of this product: These gloves are 100% cotton. They're not designed to be worn for warmth. They're not waterproof or windproof. But they're very useful. And I'd never bought cotton gloves before, so I can't say how they would compare with the same type of item, including quality and fit. I purchased these gloves for two reasons: 1. I've been scratching my arms a lot in my sleep, but no medical cause has been identified. My doctor suggested purchasing some cotton gloves to wear at night so I can't damage my skin further from scratching with my fingernails. (Like putting socks on an infant's hands if they have a habit of scratching their face.) 2. I wanted to have some sort of protective covering for my hands when I'm gardening, especially when I'm handling my cactus and some of my succulent plants, but I didn't want to wear gloves that were so thick that I couldn't maintain enough dexterity and sensitivity to complete my tasks. So I read a bunch of reviews for different cotton gloves for sale at Walmart, and I decided to try these. The gloves are soft and fit fine. I have really square hands, so I wasn't expecting a perfect fit, but the fit of these gloves is fine. They are definitely snug across my wide hands, but they're not at all uncomfortable. I did measure my hands prior to the purchase so I would have some clue as to what size might be optimal, and I think I made a good choice. Wearing these gloves at night when I'm asleep has been helping keep my skin from getting abused because even if I'm still scratching in my sleep, the gloves are protecting my skin from my qnails. So that's a score. I've also tried wearing them outside when gardening, and they're definitely not as protective as leather gloves or gloves made specifically for gardening, but they allow me to handle my plants more easily because I now have at least some protection from the sharper ones. And because the gloves are so thin, my hands aren't overly encumbered, so I still have the desired dexterity and sensitivity when I'm wearing them. I believe this package contains 10 pairs of these gloves, and while at first I thought maybe that was an excessive number for one person, I now appreciate being able to wear one pair to bed and wear another pair for gardening and I can throw both pairs in the wash at the same time and I still have several other pairs to wear while the first two pairs are in the wash. Total score! I don't expect these gloves to last forever, but what does? The fact that there are multiple pairs in one package means that I probably won't need to buy another package for a long time. I'm pleased with these gloves.
