Can read directions
5 out of 5 stars review

Space-saving, State-of-the-art, Efficient, Green

If you complain about this dryer not drying completely then you haven't read the directions thoroughly. Your wash water's electrical conductivity is a factor. This unit clearly has an adjustment mechanism which can be adjusted up or down for more drying if water conductivity is below or above average. You only need to set this once for the life of the machine. Those who complain about sheets balling up don't know how to dry sheets using any dryer. This dryer does all that it promised it would do. I am totally amazed by its technology and it is breeze to operate. Tired of people maligning new technology because they don't bother to read the instructions through.

Dryer Performance

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We've had this dryer for about a year. The plus on this unit is that we didn't have to facilitate an exhaust to the outdoors as it's not required. Look of the unit is nice. On a performance level I find it is average to good. It seems that the mixed dryer level doesn't delineate between say jogging shorts and towels. We typically run the bulk/heavy setting for most loads. The capacitive screen for the control panel is not as responsive as it could be requiring multiple touches to activate a control command but I'd still place this in the avg/good category rating. I give poor rating to the filter and air intake panel in terms of design and functionality. It doesn't stay on it's holder after inserted. The filter has to be constantly cleaned (see uncleaned filter pic). Cleaning it is a given but the filter is often found disconnected from the removable filter holder which is easy to insert and remove (see pic number two). The third image shows the air intake area for the dryer clogged with lint. Note you have brush and vacuum to remove the lint build up, to make matters more challenging, it's difficult to reach and service with a brush or vacuum because of the design. The final image shows how the filter looks cleaned. There are some design changes required on this unit. Finally the unit is now making a strange noise on an intermittent basis.

Too many gadgets

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I bought the Whirlpool washer and dryer as they would fit in the space I had and I had heard good things about Whirlpool. I was deeply disappointed when my dryer would not start at all after having it less than 5 months. Apparently the computer program board is in need of replacement. Sometimes all the bells and whistles put on a machine just make for more things that could go wrong. I also have problems with all the bottom filter. The instructions are tells me to take the two peices apart to clean but if I did that part of the filter would be torn and ruined as it is firmly attached seemingly by glue. The instruction book does not mention that.
