McKesson Calcium Alginate Dressings are a primary dressing designed for wounds with moderate to heavy exudate. The highly-absorptive wound bandage may help absorb minor bleeding. The alginate, derived from seaweed, turns into a moist gel mass material when saturated. Cover with an appropriate secondary dressing depending on the amount of wound discharge and frequency of dressing change.

This is a great brand and excellent quality. I do wish it contained silver (my mistake). I use a silver gel so I am sure they will be fine. Easy to cut to fit inside deep diabetic ulcers. My doctor only used an antiseptic spray and these and I was very surprised at how fast healing was. No prescription creams or burn gel necessary! Recommended!
