If Don wants to support a giant behemoth corporation that runs independent booksellers out of business, that's his karma--the difference he saved may have bought him a sandwich. Personally, I'd rather support a small business in Maine, my home state. I've been buying their planners and notebooks for years and have traveled all over the world with them. They are the most finely constructed one can buy. They stand up to abuse and still look new. I have planners in my desk drawer going back to 2010 because I just don't have the heart to throw out something so finely crafted.

So glad that leather is back. Never liked metallic. I have been keeping a daily journal in these for years. I am an 81 year old Pennsylvania farmer who still writes with the Estabrook fountain pen I first used in Junior High School in 1950. I have two daughters, one in Bethesda Maryland the other in Edinburgh, and one grand daughter, two years old, in Edinburgh Scotland. I call my journals, Texting to My Children. Particularly my wee Maisie, I want them to know how much I have loved them and when/ if they read them, they can burn them and remember that they are mine and I am their's.
