Some Managment & Production Aspects of Camel Rearing in Gedarif- Sudan (Paperback)

Camel husbandry is one of the most important economic and social activities in Gedarif State-eastern Sudan on which a large number of the rural population depend for their livelihood. A Survey of camel rearing practice in Gedarif State has been carried out with examples on management and production .Recently in Gedarif state, it is clear that camel rearing as a profitable business depend mainly on the number of camels reared; the larger the number of the camel herds; the more profitable it becomes and this is why the more rich farmers( semi -nomads) are becoming increasingly more important camel producers than the other poor group(nomads).
