Aspacia is the land of Keepers. Home to four Empires, where the colour of one's eyes determines their destiny. Eighteen year old Reyna Arrington is a mystery to all her kind- even herself. She does not wield the earthly powers of her Empire, yet she presses on in search of a power only she can define.
Reyna longs to become a guard for Aspacia's royal family, just as her father did. She attends the Sanctum- a renowned magic school for Keepers. During her search for knowledge and influence, she meets Dexter Fallon- a handsome Earth Keeper with dangerously green eyes and a certain knack for taking her breath away.
Reyna soon finds that not everything is as it seems, and she is more powerful than she could ever imagine. Her mother didn't tell her everything about her family's past, and the Sanctum poses challenges in the form of other students.
