Works great

We are renting home with no central A/C and the landlords provided us with an old window unit that didn't do much for us. With the heat wave we are experiencing recently, we decided to invest in this portable A/C unit a month ago. Our living/dining room is about 300 sq.ft. And the unit keeps the whole area nice and cool! The downside is that it's been very humid with our heatwave and the unit can't keep up so we are having to drain the water tank a few times a day. But, that's not surprising. Overall a great unit so far!

Great quiet fan and GE A/C unit

Just purchased this new portable GE 10K/8K BTU Portable A/C unit for our main A/C. The old one worked great for 2 years but, didn't cool our home anymore just the fan ran. This runs in eco mode turning Off when reaching the desired temp and again is quite running.

Portable AC unit

works great, runs and cools a smaller to medium sized room no problem. Just be careful NOT to accidentally hit the Dehumidify option if you're not set up to easily access the bottom drain plug. My mother in law accidentally put it in this mode and it shut off after the reservoir got full. When I eventually figured out what happened, drained the reservoir and back to cooling mode.
