Plan on scrubbing them by hand. Material rather thick. Also, the elastic waistband does does stretch proportionately to the short "sidewall" below it. "At rest", the waistband of the size XL I ordered is only 14 inches and not due to dryer. Always only hang dry. Terrible ill-fitting for what they cost. Terrible binding irritating. Don't blame your jeans. It's the sizing and waistband.
