Trish Swenson is the person most people would think about when the speak of white privilege. She is a beautiful Nordic blond, her parents are doctors., and she was accepted into a prestigious university. The same night she is chosen prom queen, her handsome boyfriend proposed. Then her life hit a speed bump. Her fiance dies of a heroin overdose in spite of her effort to save him. She was so overcome with grief she flunked out of college, in spite of the help of her nerdy tutor, Sherman Musky. She decides to join the navy and become a hospital corpsman expecting to work in a naval hospital, but is chosen to become one of the first women to be sent field medical school for the marines, and then sent to Afghanistan. Most of her company is wiped out except for her. Because she is a woman she is spared the gruesome death by decapitation. Because she is a woman she becomes a slave to a rag-tag band of Taliban fighters, who treat her as a beast of burden expected to carry heavy ammo over narrow mountain trails so they can attack Americans. At night, her genitals are used as a reward for fighters who did well against the Americans, much to Trish's shame. She is well aware she was now the lowest form of human life in Afghanistan, one of the poorest countries in the world. After having to endure buckets of sperm during that time, she became pregnant. Her owners give her child to an orphanage, because the infant interfered with her work In an attempt to survive the heart break, suffering and depression, Trish created a fantasy world where she married her friend Sherman Musky. It became so real to her she convinces herself it actually happened. She gives her thuggish captors silly names so they wouldn't seem so scary to her. She would act like a clown around them in hopes to keep her beating to a minimum. She wished that one day the marines or navy seals would come to rescue her. If only she had the courage she would kill them all herself.
