Huge upgrade!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using our new Samsung Single wall oven for a little over 2 weeks. The best piece of advice when you get this, is take a minute to read the owners' manual. There are so many new options (for us anyway) that it was exciting to learn what each button does. When the installers rolled the boxes in, my eyes grew to the size of bowling balls. The shiny stainless look is very premium and the touch panel controls are easy to clean. One of our favorite parts is the 3 racks, the lowest of which is on rollers. It has two different convection modes that cook much more uniformly and quickly than our old contractor grade oven. It is not hard to use, and comes with an insert thermometer that plugs into a port on the inner left wall. The interior light is bright as well. One of the cool 21st-century style options is the steaming function. The tray is on a motorized carrier that moves in and out on its' own. The cool blue interior coating is unique and also an eye-catcher. Samsung has thought of everything and it shows. They really value their brand images and quality to customers. I've shown this off to everyone that comes over, as our kitchen is our hang-out place.
Words aren't enough!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We chose the normal silver stainless finish for the single wall oven. Our builder grade model needed to go; it took forever to preheat for a frozen pizza or whatnot. The cuft volume of the oven is even somehow larger than our old model. It does very well for an electric using its multiple cooking modes with convection fan options. There are TWO fans that help with uniform cooking. I did the toast test and it does heat pretty evenly (fill big cookie sheet with bread and see how it cooks to flag hotspots). I have used the plug-in thermometer probe on a meatloaf and whole chicken. That is very handy! Now I don't have to use one of those corded models where you run the probe wire out the door to the unit on your counter, it is all built in! I also really appreciate that one of the 3 racks is on a sliding rail. You can rearrange them if you like. The easy-to-clean touch panel looks very nice and turns off its' backlight pretty quickly so the oven maintains a low profile. The handle also sticks out enough that it is easy to clean without weird curved spaces that you can't get to. This oven has SmartThings app connectivity. It set up correctly on the first try, and if set properly, allows me to monitor and even control the oven. If I am upstairs or in the backyard, I can have an idea of whats going on. I feel that we made the right choice and that Samsung delivers quality and functionality at this price point.
