Small, compact, easy to use!

I bought this kit for my 576-xp w/28 bar, H46 3/8 chain, 7/32" round file size. There are diagrams on the back of the kit package that show how to use it. They're not hard to understand I can't see why the other reviews say that. It took me all of 10 seconds to figure out its use. If you still can't figure it out there's always You Tube fps! The roller design is awsome and makes filing almost a joy lol. A hint/trick on the extending the life of the Raker height gauge is don't file them down with the gauge installed over the Raker. Place Raker gauge in place on Raker, see how much needs to be filed off, remove gauge, file a bit, recheck with gauge, repeat steps until raker height is correct. This keeps you from filing the gauge itself. I LOVE the quick-change file handle! I'm buying ANOTHER file kit tomorrow for #91, 3/8"x.050, s56, 5/32" chain. Two thumbs up from me!

Easier than I expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Didn't know how easy and not time consuming it is to sharpen a chain. Previously replaced the chain once a year, but this year was going to cut more in one summer than I had in 10 years so knew it wasn't going to be practical, so I picked this up. The first time I used it it took about 10 minutes to figure out along with a youtube video. After that it takes about 5 minutes to sharpen a chain. Well worth the investment!

Good starter kit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have this in two sizes, having bought one to get a handle, pair of starter round files and the flat file. I liked it so much I got another for a different size saw, just have to keep the sizes straight. The files are excellent, and the handle is comfortable, precise, and easy to use with or without gloves. The gauge is a little bit fiddley as a roller guide (at least for my chain geometry) but fine as a depth gauge. The quality of files and handle make this a very good value in my experience, from there you can replace as things wear out.
