It's most commonly used as a tie-down on flatbed trailers but is also used for towing, logging, safety, and oil rigging applications. This convenient tie down chains and binders set includes a 5/16" - 3/8" ratchet binder and a 16-foot length of 5/16-inch, Grade 70 transport chain equipped with a clevis grab hook on each end of the chain. The Peerless QuikBinder Plus offers higher working load limits than standard ratchet binders and is easy to use, safe, and tamper-resistant. It can accommodate either Grade 70 transport chain or Grade 80 alloy chain and is proof-tested and heat-treated for durability. The high-quality, Grade 70 chain is manufactured in a high-strength, low-alloy carbon steel for long-lasting quality; strength-tested and heat-treated for maximum safety and durability.
