Squishes my nose flat, unwearable for adult woman

I had high hopes for this hat with face covering, so I could walk around this winter without my nose freezing, but it seems to have been made for a child. I was able to get it on no problem, but it's so tight that it smashes my nose completely flat on my face, which is absolutely uncomfortable and painful. The hat part also does not fit like the image, instead sticking straight up a couple of inches - - I could have fit a bun in there! It arrived with the fur on every part of it's surface, so I had to wash it before even trying it on, otherwise it would have gotten all on my face and hair and I'd be breathing it. The knit quality is nice and thick and the fur is soft, but it's absolutely unwearable for an adult woman. I'm 5'7" average build.
