We have a solid black dachshund mix dog - he cannot be seen at night (even in our small fenced yard) unless he is under the spotlight! He is so black that many times the motion detector light misses him! We even have lights around the fence but he disappears in the grassy areas. I bought a reflective collar last year but it only is seen if the flashlight is on it. SO I BOUGHT THIS ONE AND LOVE IT. Its wide and reflects even in the small yard lights - Maxwell cannot disappear any more! Its large but comfortable and he likes it too.
