I bought this for my PS4 Slim and I absolutely love it. I was going to originally get a Samsung T7 SSD 1TB but the PS4 Slim wouldn't be able to handle to transfer speeds. The PS4 Slim has a max transfer speed of 500mbs a second. So I decided to get the My Passport 4tb external hard drive and I was able to format it right away. no issues. After it's been formatted you get 3.68TB left to use. So you have plenty of space. I don't have a ton of games on my PS4 Slim but it's nice to know there's more than enough space if if I need it. I've streamed a few games from it and absolutely zero issues. No game crashed. no issues at all. No the games don't start up quicker it's just an external drive for more space. but otherwise I love it. got it on sale for about $94 at Walmart on Sept 22nd 2020 here in Connecticut. Absolutely worth every penny. just word of caution though, because it's an HHD and not a SSD, when transferring/copying games, you have to be mindful that the more games you bring over to the HHD the more time it will take. do one at a time and you're ok. do multiple at the same time and it can take more time. like hours. anyways def pick this up if you want more space. if you're looking for extra start up speed this isn't the hard drive for you. if you want games that boot up quicker and start faster then get an SSD but beware those are much more expensive and most around are only 1tb. want 2tb or more? be ready to spend a lot more. anyways hope this review helps.
