A little backstory on my dog—he is a 1yr old shih tzu and he weighs 14.2 pounds. This bed was just right for my little buddy he rests comfortably. The material of the bed was really soft and i'd 100% recommend giving it a try and if you don't like it or it doesn't work you could always return it, but it works just fine with me and my lil pup :)!

My dog seems to love the Vibrant Life dog beds

My dog loves this Vibrant Life Cuddler Mattress Bed! It fits him perfectly and he sleeps in comfort all night. I like the blue color and plaid design. The side cushioning is great as a "pillow". The bottom has a non-slip covering which is nice. I wish it had a zipper for removal of cover to launder and I hope it stands up to my washing machine. Maybe I will hand wash it. I bought this one for his night bed and another Vibrant Life for his daily bed. That one had a zipper for removal of cover for laundering. He loves both of these (see second pic) and I recommend them.
