These shorts are super cute and cooling in the summer. They weren't cotton like it looks in the picture but a shiny smooth material. Think of silk but slightly rougher. The thigh area is very wide so it's perfect for curvy girls. The elastic is also very forgiving. I would say get in your regular size as I sized up and it was way too big. Love the large pockets though I'm not sure if you can put anything heavy in them.
