we call this a flying saucer squash

i am a big fan of this squash. i look forward to this all winter long. it's very mellow. cooks quickly. my favorite way is to chop it up into chunks, add about 1/2 of sweet onion with just enough water to cover the pan; cover then cook till fork tender. add extra pepper too.

These are my all time favorite squash. The seeds look like they're good quality, and they sprouted quickly. There are not a huge amount of seeds in the package, but I'm sure I'll end up with way more squash than I need anyway. I'm looking forward to the harvest!
