Roomy bag for toss and turners
NOTE: I have NOT used this bag extensively yet as my plans for fall camping unravelled for various reasons. These comments are initial thoughts: I have used a mummy bag (Western Mountaineering) for many years but found as I aged (65 now) and started to get little nagging aches and pains that I was tossing and turning at night to get comfortable. This was difficult in my mummy bag so I started the search for a roomier bag. I am mostly a side sleeper and wanted room to bring my knees up and tuck a pad/small pillow between my knees. I also don't backpack for days on end so weight wasn't an important factor. I now either car camp or canoe so I can be more generous with my kit. Also, as I aged I found I needed a warmer bag for the same temps I used to be comfortable at with a lower rated bag. I am really pleased with the roominess of this bag. At 6' and 215lbs I have plenty of room to maneuver around at night. I have a 25' wide pad which works but I may go to a 30"for more comfort. In the few uses with this bag I have not experienced the sticking zipper issues that others have mentioned - maybe that's been fixed or maybe being aware of them I've been careful IDK. It does feel odd not having down under me but I get the rational behind it. I have an R4 pad and I may, if temps are getting close to -7C use a fleece liner. So far, with limited use I am very pleased with this bag and look forward to testing it further. I did try the Rapid SL pillow to use in the pillow sleeve - it's useless. Unless I'm doing it wrong I could not get it blown up sufficiently firm and them get the cap on without most of the air escaping.

Got it NIB of Kijiji) )and I may, if temps are getting close to -7C use a fleece liner. So far, with limited use I am very pleased with this bag and look forward to testing it further. I did also purchase the Rapid SL pillow to use with the bag but have not had an opportunity to use it in field conditions. I gave the bag 4 stars only because I have not had an opportunity to use it much in the field.
