I'm a woman but my son wanted us to be Mario and Luigi and I could find a Mario costume in my size. The padded tummy makes me look 8 months pregnant but outside of that, everything fits great. It is standard costume quality so not built for longevity but well constructed for Halloween and costume party wear. Wear a tank underneath so your back doesn't show through any gaps that might show in between the velcro holding you together. The velcro is secure, even bending down and moving around and the fit is snug on me as I usually wear a 3XL. Overall, great costume quality. Will definitely last through several years of wear.
