I bought this because it is splined and I wanted a nice, neat backing for a commissioned piece. It seems to be a great canvas, nice and sturdy. I am with another reviewer, not a fan on the back that screams THE EDGE, but it will have to do! But I will give it 5 stars since the back won't show when it's hung.

I love the creative edge canvases because I can focus my painting on all five sides. Plus, it gives the purchaser of my paintings a choice. My art can be displayed with or without a frame, and I am not expected to add a frame at quite an additional cost, and it may not be a frame the customer even likes. The canvas is a medium texture and easy to paint oils or acrylics.
