Description:
Normally, there are four trouble codes that can be triggered by malfunctions with the fuel composition sensor circuit.
The sensor circuit is also another name to call a sensor for flex fuel circuit.
The four codes that can be triggered by the ECM when any malfunctions happen are P0176, P0177, P0178, and P0179.

Faulty fuel composition sensor
Fuel Composition Sensor harness is open or shorted
Fuel Composition Sensor circuit poor electrical connection
repair?
Start by checking the "Possible Causes" listed above. Visually inspect the related wiring harness and connectors.
Check for damaged components and look for broken, bent, pushed out, or corroded connector's pins.
If the fuel is contaminated by other substances, empty the fuel tank and fill it up again with correct and uncontaminated fuel.
If the sensor for flex fuel is broken, replace it with a new one.
Get a mechanic to repair the circuit if it’s shorted.
Replace your faulty engine control module.
Fix the sensor line if there’s any damage.
