Rating is for item ONLY. Shipping packaging was poor at best. It was packed in a padded envelope, and the items box is crushed. If I was a collector I would be very upset with the items condition. However, this is just an Easter basket stuffer because my 8 year old son loves the Yankees and wants to be a catcher, it's not for a collection so I'm less concerned with the shape of the box. Had the item inside the box been damaged it would be a different story. How and why some thought it was ok to ship a box in a padded envelope I don't understand, maybe a flat box, but this is anything but flat.
