Absolutely worth it!

I've spent a good amount of time shooting with the Ares 4.5–30x56 APRS1 FFP IR MIL, and it's been seriously impressive—especially for the price. The 4.5–30x magnification range is incredibly versatile, whether I'm shooting mid-range or stretching things out long distance, and it never feels like I'm reaching the limits of the scope The first focal plane MIL reticle is consistent at every magnification, which makes holdovers and wind calls straightforward and reliable. the UHD glass is sharp and clear and the illuminated reticle is daylight bright and a great plus. Overall, it's a scope that just works at all times!

The only problem is what one do get next

Let me start off by saying that I would have given this a 10 out of 10 but I was led to believe that the elevation was also locking. The scope clarity was excellent which is to be expected. The contrast was also on par with other higher end slopes that I have. Like gathering in the early morning and late evening is excellent. The parallax adjustment is graduated in a way that I like. One thing I especially liked was the way that the illumination worked, it did not bleed into the optic itself even at the higher settings. One thing that deserves mentioning again is the clarity of this scope. The parallax adjustment is labeled at 10 yards and at 10 yards it is clear both at the low end of the magnification as well as the high end. I have a far ridge I can look at approximately 10 miles away with the parallax to infinite I can make out things at that distance.

Good value in a high power optic

Mounted on an RPRR for NLR22 style shooting, at which I'm just getting started. Price is too high for Production Division, so keep that in mind. Otherwise nice glass, used at 30x today from bipod and rear bag. With this much mag on tap you can forgo the spotting scope, at least at 100y and watch your impacts happen.
