Finish Powerball Max in 1 Advanced Dishwasher Detergent Tabs, 105 Ct

I have always used Cascade in one form or another. Hubby was looking through the booklet that we got in the mail, saw these and INSISTED we give them a try. I begrudgingly agreed expecting to use a few and give the rest away as I have with other brands that didn't meet my expectations. We have seriously HARD water in the Town of Adams. I have used an additive in the dishwasher ever since the formulation for dishwasher detergent changed, removing phosphates. My black plastic cooking utensils were heavily coated with grey residue if I DIDN'T use the additive - citric acid based LemiShine was my preference. I have ALWAYS preferred Finish Jet Dry Rinse Aid as well. First use of Finish Max was a small-ish load of mixed dishes. I figured I'd give it an easier test first and then try harder stuff - cookware/bakeware - later. I made sure there was several pieces of my black plastic utensils in it though, expecting them to come out grungy looking. I ran the load of dishes overnight and wasn't sure what I'd find in the morning... I was FLOORED when I opened the dishwasher the next morning and pulled out the top rack! My black plastic utensils appeared to be even blacker than when they went in! Everything was sparkling clean and NOTHING needed another run though! I was so happy I did a little victory dance! The next load of dishes contained the cast iron gas stove burner grates that I have been struggling to get clean ever since I got it used. My dishwasher has a filter in the bottom that collects stuff that should not go lower into the workings. The first time I washed the stove grates, that filter was FULL of debris that had sloughed off them! I was considering replacing those grates but not anymore! Every time I wash the grates, they are a little cleaner than the time before! I thought they were a lost cause but Finish Max changed my mind!!!
