Stable Router
The first thing I did was upgrade the two ET9s to the latest firmware, then I configured them. This router works better than expected. Can get measured speeds of 600-900 Mbps on a 600 Mbps connection on the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band with 6 GHz wireless backhaul—no hiccups from the router. RT-AX86U Pro at the end of the line works well on the 5 GHz band.

This is the second ASUS router I've purchased. I only replaced the last one because it was 5 years old. Extremely simple setup. I only had one issue with getting connection to the router that was solved by rebooting my modem. The ASUS app is easy to navigate with a lot of functionality for setting up guest network and parental controls and easy to see all the devices on your network.

The ZenWiFi ET9 set is an upgrade from my other two ASUS wireless routers, RT-AC1900P and RT-AC68P. These worked well, but I wanted to upgrade to WiFi 6E and tri-band. Installation of the ET9 set was straight forward and relatively simple. I had to reset my older routers in order to add them to my ET9 system. That required a bit more work, i.e., turning each one off and on a couple times after pushing the Reset button. Now I have the two main ET9 units in the main living area and the two older ones in extended spaces. I favored the ASUS ET9 units over other brands because of the ASUS interface and of course the Trend Micro protection. I never really liked a couple other brands user interface. I also like that I could turn off the LED on the one ET9 unit located in my master bedroom and leave the LED turned on with the other unit in my office. I am also now able to get the internet speed that my internet provider and contract provide. Connections for streaming on my TV are also faster. The units are also more attractive than my older ASUS routers.
