As part of an urban forest initiative, Taylor is excited to debut urban ash, a new tonewood that's been responsibly sourced from trees in need of removal from municipal areas in southern California. With mahogany-esque musicality, urban ash also has the potential to support the re-greening of city infrastructure. Urban ash captures many of the same tonal qualities as top tier mahogany, with dry, woody overtones. The tropical mahogany top delivers smooth midrange with a nice natural compression. Perfect for fingerstyle or strumming, the grand auditorium body shape is Taylor's most versatile body shape, great for all playing styles.
