Dremel motor was dead. Easy to replace and save Dremel but almost in same price range as a non Dremel branded mini rotary tool. I still recommend it if you want to save your Dremel and use it a bit longer

This is the OEM replacement part for Dremel 3000, and it works, but not well. It doesn't really fit inside the tool, and something inside is binding up. My dremel quit working unexpectedly while I was using it. I took it apart and found a broken wire on one of the coils, which apparently is a common problem. (You can check this by testing for continuity with a multimeter). I bought this hoping it would fix the problem - and it did, kind of. The tolerance isn't as tight as I need it to be, but it does run, so I'll give it a 4/5.
