Whom To Trust

As you read about this book you see that Delaney has lost so much, and her boyfriend was convicted of killing her brother. Now one of her best friends, a newly wed, has been brutally murdered, and her ex-boyfriend has been let out of jail, on the same day. This read has a lot of twist and turns and the author does a great job of spinning who might be the murderer, and I was sure I knew, until I changed my mind. Yes, I didn't expect who the actual culprit was, but then I didn't expect all the manipulation that went on! This is a love story, one that has been thwarted, and yet, a deep love of God, and perserverance. I have read many books by Kelly Irvin, and this will not be the last! I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Thomas Nelson, and was not required to give a positive review.

Gripping and Engaging

Gripping and Engaging Wow! I wasn't sure what to expect with this story, but from the onset and beyond it kept me on the edge of my seat! Ten years ago, Delaney Broward's brother, Corey, was brutally murdered, and Hunter Nash, Delaney's boyfriend at the time, was convicted of the murder. After a ten year incarceration, Hunter is released from prison. Coincidentally, Delaney's best friend, Ellie, is murdered on the same day that Hunter is released from prison. Because of the timing and commonalities in the murders, Hunter is once again the targeted suspect. With all that he's been through, Hunter finds himself on a mission to prove that he is innocent of the crime he was incarcerated for as well as maintaining his innocence in Ellie's murder. Hunter also wants to regain Delaney's trust and friendship, while maintaining the hope that they can possibly renew a relationship. And although Delaney doesn't trust Hunter's claim of innocence in the murders, she agrees to work with him on finding the truth, while insisting that a relationship beyond that is a no go. I absolutely loved and thoroughly enjoyed Trust Me! It is a wonderful mixture of romance and gripping sit on the edge of your seat intrigue and suspense. Integral elements of trust and forgiveness were also integral parts of the story that added even more to the plot. It is also very thought provoking in that it really makes you think of the sad reality that being falsely accused and convicted of a crime or any situation, doesn't just occur in fiction, but also in real life. All of these elements were flawlessly woven together in this fantastic story that will not only have you guessing all the way through, but will also touch your heart with a deep sense of what it truly means to trust and forgive. ***I received a complimentary copy of this book via NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.***

Not for the squeamish

This book started out with not one, but two brutal murders set ten years apart. What struck me was that both bodies were discovered by Delaney Broward. What an absolutely shocking thing for someone to go through. With her best friend, Ellie, murdered, her unlikely partner in trying to solve the crime is Hunter Nash, the convicted killer of her brother ten years before. Hunter is freshly out of prison but wants to prove that he did not kill Ellie or Corey. Hunter is a changed man, an avowed Christian while Delaney has been questioning her faith since Corey died. The plot is a good one with twists and turns that had me contemplating who the real killer could be. A nice touch was a Christian cop who strove to find the real culprit and not just assume things. The circumstances made everything come to a head with a final, exciting scene. Hunter and Delaney are on track again both in their faith and their romance. "Why did she still turn to God when the chips were down?. Because no one else was omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient." This is the first book that I have read by Kelly Irvin and I will definitely be looking up the back list of this thrilling author. *I received a complimentary ARC copy of this book from Thomas Nelson through Partners In Crime Tours. I was not required to give a positive review. All opinions are my own.*.
