Allows Mama to keep her house; not @ nursing home
We have used these for the last two years to keep mama safely living independently in her home. To understand how important these are, imagine having to move into assisted living and giving up your beautiful home of the last 50 years! This technology is amazing that we can keep mama safe for so little money and NO monthly monitoring fees. We have five phone numbers in the units that it will call in the event of emergency. If the first doesn't answer, the Walabot calls the next one and so on. False alarms are minimal but actually welcomed to know that mama "plopped down" too quickly onto the bed or couch. We put them throughout her home so she's safe no matter where she goes. The system does require wifi but nothing else, no need for Alexa or Siri or any subscriptions whatsoever. The 3M Command Strips hold securely in the bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, hallway, etc. They release cleanly of we need to move a unit. We are very happy these work.

HAs anyone been able to get support from Walabot? We bought 6 of them for my mother's apartment, and have had issues with both the app and with fans alarming - I cannot get a response from Walabot (or Vayyar now) at all. The idea is great - and we really want it to work, but I am getting increasingly frustrated with the company.

The device accurately detects a fall, and it will send a text to a designated person, but it is not possible to put in a second contact person. The device also does not enable the person who fell to speak with the remote person who has been notified. When I contacted the manufacturer, they said they are working on fixing the issue, but there is no timeline for when it will be fixed.
