- This will result in more rapid cooling at lower temperatures that is possible with ice alone.
- For melting ice and snow: sprinkle morton ice cream salt on steps, sidewalks And driveways for fast melting.
- For making ice cream: mix 1 part morton ice cream salt with 8 parts crushed ice. Fill freezer tub with this mixture well above the line of the ice cream mix in the cream container. Turn crank slowly, increasing speed as the mixture begins to freeze. Ice cream will freeze in approximately 15 minutes. Ices And sherbets require somewhat longer.
- To complete freezing process, drain off brine from freezer tub And pack tub with a mixture of 3 parts ice to 1 part salt. Let stand for at least 30 minutes before serving.
