it's wide and fits what I needed (power strip, power block) and has enough openings to allow you to be flexible with how you can organize the cables Make sure the clearence between the cables you plug into your power block and the desk is enough. If you have the power strip laying prone you may run into issues if you mount it on the desk. You may need to get creative with the power strip layout and where you mount it. I ended up mounting it on the desk frame which worked well because it comes with the option to do it on the bracket mounts
