In Bed Auxilary fuel tank with toolbox

I installed this fuel tank in my 2015 Dodge 3500 Mega Cab (short bed) and it is working as designed. The only trouble is having to hammer the frame that fits the OEM 5th wheel holes in the bed in such a way that I can't take the frame out of the bed. The cutaway in the bottom of the tank is the only reason I could install it in the first place and it does work with a little modification. The hassle of leaving the frame in the bed is worth the extra fuel this gives me so I can be pickier about where and how often I fuel up when pulling double trailers. I would recommend this to anyone needing the extra fuel. I did have to have the dealer install the filler tube insert as it is metal now not rubber.

After much searching for the best toolbox auxiliary fuel tank combo, I found one that would fit my 2500 short bed pu with a fithwheel hitch included. The tank was delivered exactly as advertised and the installation was easy. The overall quality is very good. I would definitely recommend Northern Tool and this product to friends.

Great Product

I was looking for a combination tool box fuel cell for my F-250 crew cab with a six and a half foot bed. I saw this product and read all the reviews and made my choice. My neighbor helped me install it and it went smoothly. Just made my first trip with it and was able to travel 1000 miles before refueling, I felt the fuel cell in the truck was to small and this extra fuel was bonus. I can't wait until I hook up my fifth wheel and try it. Having to stop every 200 miles pulling my camper was aggravating.
