Through some sort of poetic magic Carl Sennhenn manages to create works of great delicacy which at the same time have a quiet but definitive strength. They remind me of my grandmothers fine China with its simple pattern of tiny flowers. After each use Sunday dinners and holiday gatherings , as she washed and put the China away, she would say 'these beautiful pieces are over 50 years old, but they wear like iron.'
