It has a sliding adjustable width and easily expands from 25.5" to 42.5”. There is no need to constantly remove the gate to enter a room because it only stands 24" high; you can easily step over. Poorly designed, gate tips over on its own.
This gate would have been great if it wasn't poorly designed. To have the gate at the end of the feet in one of the two configuration options they give you the gate tips over on its own. This is the way we needed the gate assembled to block the area we needed it to go. I had to return the gate as it was useless.
