The traditional, red and white style diver down flag is well known to United States divers and boaters, but in international waters the IST 20 x 24” International Alpha Signal Flag, Dive Flag is the right way to alert others in the area to the presence of divers below. This same flag is used to represent the letter “A” when using flags to signal nearby vessels.
In the past this flag was used in international waters to say, "I am undergoing a speed trial." More recently the International Code of Signals has revised it to mean, "I have a diver down; keep well clear at slow speed." Be sure to check local laws and regulations to ensure your flag will meet any size requirements.
3 grommets on reinforced mountings allow for displaying the flag in horizontal or vertical orientation. An inbuilt, stainless steel stiffener keeps the flag unfurled even in windy conditions. Durable nylon construction with double-stitched seams make this a sturdy flag that’s built to last.
