Overall, very good.

Overall, good feeder, BUT the lower feed cover gets stuck in the open position when heavier hens/rooster steps on. I had to block it from going up over the top. Only other comment, too bad it doesn't have a larger feed hopper to hold more than 40%23. Prop the feed door open for a few days to get the hens used to finding their food there.BTW: 7 week old chicks were able to open by stepping on the foot; although several jumped into the feed tray, they were not harmed when the lid tried to shut.

Beware/Forwarned of Very Sharp edges!!

Good design, however, the footplate has sharp edges all over!! I cut myself on it 3 times during assembly, I would hate to see what would happen to my flock! I had to super duct tape all the sharp edges on the entire unit......sad
