This rug is absolutely fabulous. It is thick, soft, beautiful color and a bonus that it's washable. It vacuums up very nicely. As you can see from the picture its dog approved! My daughter loved it so much in my closet that she asked me to get one for her college dorm.

This could not, on it's best day, reach 2.5 inch pile... unless maybe you add 2 inches of something else underneath it. If purchased for any other purpose other than making the wood floor in my office less "slippery" for my pup, it would only get 1 star. Thinking I might order one for my son's dogs...
