With my fine, thin hair they still worked fine.

These are really cute. They look dressy enough for me (an old lady) to wear and still look nice. They are not cheap looking. They are pretty heavy in your hair but stay in just fine. There are 3 different ways they clip on. Two of them have the clip that locks into a U shaped pin, two have a bobby pin looking clip and two have the two prong opening clip. They are all sturdy and pretty. My hair is thin and fine. They stay in pretty good.
