OK for Now...

Based on physical size and electrical rating, this is a perfect replacement for the Goldtop GT12080-HG battery used in older Verizon Fios Optical Network Terminals. However, it's a lot less expensive than the Goldtop. I installed the battery and it appears to be working. I have not, however, checked the battery's capability to power the ONT when regular AC power is lost. And I won't know the battery's lifetime until (I hope) several years from now. Verizon recommends replacing the ONT battery every 3 to 4 years. My original Goldtop battery was about 9 years old when I decided to replace it. I'll be quite pleased if the Neptune battery lasts that long.
